SharePoint Online · Brisbane & Australia-wide
An intranet people actually open.
SharePoint intranets, explained.
A SharePoint intranet is the home page and document structure your whole business works from, built on the SharePoint Online you already have in Microsoft 365. It replaces the shared drive, the email chain and the folder only one person understands.
Most intranets fail for reasons that have nothing to do with technology: the structure mirrors the org chart instead of the work, nobody owns the content, and search was never configured. We start with how people look for things, give every area a named owner, and set search up so it returns the current version — not five drafts.
Everything lives in your own Microsoft 365 tenant. Your staff own the content from the first day, and you keep the build if you never speak to us again.
Signs it’s the right tool
- Staff ask each other where the latest version of a form is
- Every new project rebuilds the same folder structure by hand
- Policies and procedures live in email attachments
- New starters spend their first week finding things
- You pay for Microsoft 365 but the intranet is an empty SharePoint site
What we build with SharePoint Online.
Company intranet
News, policies, people directory and quick links, with each section owned by the team it belongs to.
Project and job sites
A standard site per project that provisions itself, so every job starts with the same structure and permissions.
Document management
Libraries with metadata, version history and retention, so the right version is always the one people find.
Policy and procedure hub
One source for SOPs and safety documents, with review dates and owners attached.

What it costs.
Build cost
Typically $10,000–$45,000
A focused intranet for a single business unit sits at the lower end; a company-wide build with project site provisioning, migration and training sits at the upper end. The free audit scopes it to a fixed price before you commit.
Timeline: Four to eight weeks for most builds, including content migration and owner training.
Licensing
- SharePoint Online is included in Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Standard and Premium, and in E3 and E5 — most businesses need no new licences.
- Retention labels and some compliance features need E3/E5 or the relevant add-on; we tell you before scoping if a feature depends on one.
SharePoint Online, answered.
01How much does a SharePoint intranet cost in Australia?
For a 50–500 person business, a usable SharePoint intranet typically costs $10,000–$45,000 to build, depending on how many areas it covers, how much content is migrated and whether project sites are provisioned automatically. It runs on the SharePoint licences you already have, so there is usually no ongoing software cost.
02Do we need new licences for a SharePoint intranet?
Usually not. SharePoint Online is included in the Microsoft 365 Business and Enterprise plans most businesses already pay for. Some compliance features need E3, E5 or an add-on, and we flag those before anything is scoped.
03Why do intranets fail?
Rarely because of the technology. They fail when the structure mirrors the org chart instead of the work, when nobody owns the content, and when search was never configured. We build around how people actually look for things and hand each area to a named owner.
04Can you migrate our shared drives into SharePoint?
Yes. We map what is there, archive what is dead, restructure what is live and move it with version history and permissions set by role — not copied across as-is.
05Who owns the intranet once it is built?
You do. It sits in your tenant, your staff own the content, and you get the documentation and admin access. There is no proprietary layer or ongoing licence to us.
